New hotels in Stockholm!

On October 26 Hotel Skeppsholmen opens in a building from 1699. The new hotel, situated on the waterfront has an exciting historic background and is yet a stylish contemporary hotel. In February Stockholm will open several new hotels.

Exhibitions!
Stockholm has a museum for almost all interests - about 75 in total. The Stockholmcard gives you free entrance to all museums plus free transports. Following extensive renovation, Stockholm's Medieval Museum reopens in January 2010. Here is a list of the main exhibitions during the autumn and winter.
 
Stieg Larsson books in focus
The spanish prime minister and thousands of visitors have done it - yes we are talking about the Millennium guided tour in Stockholm. Why not visit Stockholm and walk in the footsteps of Mikael Blomkvist and Lisbeth Salander in the best selling books by Stieg Larsson.
 
Awarded city
Stockholm is Europes first Green Capital and in our press room you will find eight green angles. Stockholm was awarded the worlds most coachfriendly city in October 2009. Do you believe that Stockholm is expensive? Time to reconsider. Stockholm is not even found on the top 50 list anymore.
Nobel minds
On december 10 the worlds greatest minds meet in Stockholm for the Nobel Prize award. Few of us will recieve an invitation to this during our lifetime. But it’s still possible to to enjoy a nobel experience here – all year around, if you’d like.

Love-festival and Crown Princess wedding!
the Crown Princess Victoria is getting married to mr Daniel Westling on June 19, 2010. The city of Stockholm will host a festival from the national day June 6 up to the wedding on the theme of Love! Royal angles in the press room.

Ride 85 meters up on the worlds first spherical building, Ericsson Globe Arena, in two glass gondolas. Stockholm's new attraction will be inaugurated in February 2010.

Christmas Spirit in Stockholm
Sweden and Stockholm are known for summer’s midnight sun when the sun almost never goes down. But Stockholm is at least as exotic —not to mention cozier—in the winter when the sun almost never comes up. Christmas markets, Lucia events and things out of the ordinary.
