We co-ordinate marketing initiatives for international meetings in Stockholm as well as provide support for planners - free of charge, of course. The Convention Bureau includes Congress Stockholm that works with association meetings and Meet Stockholm that works exclusively with the corporate meeting industry.

Stockholm is now cheaper!

According to Mercer’s 2008 Cost of Living Index, Stockholm is now considerably cheaper. In the space of a year, the Swedish capital has dropped eight places in the list of the world’s most expensive cities to a new position of number 31. Moscow is the world’s most expensive city, followed by Tokyo and London. Of the other Nordic capitals, Oslo is now in 4th place, with Copenhagen in 7th place and Helsinki in 21st place.

Stockholm hosts major neurological congress

The European Federation of Neurological Societies, EFNS, has decided that Stockholm will play host to Europe’s largest neurological congress in 2012.
“This is the first time that such a large neurological congress has been held in Sweden,” says Magnus Andersson, Chairman of the Swedish Neurological Society.

New major hotel & congress centre

The construction of a new, exciting element in Stockholm's skyline has started. When the Stockholm Waterfront stands completed in 2010, the city centre of Stockholm will have a large congress centre with capacity for up to 3,000 participants in theatre seating and banquet facilities for 2,000 guests. The property will also include a hotel, Rezidor Park Inn, with 418 rooms, as well as a view over both Riddarfjärden and the City Hall of Stockholm.
