Stockholm on the cover of the prestigious magazine "Condé Nast Traveler"!
Stockholm’s beautiful hotel, the Hotel Diplomat, covers the front page of the prestigious magazine "Condé Nast Traveler" and several Congress Stockholm members are mentioned in the article "Stockholm: Real Deal".

Stockholm Hotels get star ranking (November 2003)
Sweden is now introducing a classification system for hotels similar to the one already established in Denmark. It comprises 130 different criteria for which the hotels are awarded 1 to 5 stars. To begin with, 160 of Stockholm´s hotels will be ranked. An official star-awarding ceremony will take place on 1 December, when plaques will be handed out indicating the number of stars awarded. In conjunction with this, a new website will be launched presenting all the hotels.

New co-operation between  Nordiska Museet and Junibacken (October 2003)
Junibacken, the museum based on Astrid Lindgren´s famous fairytales, is always an interesting venue for visitors from abroad. Its unique location, environment and facilities have made Junibacken very popular and praised for its evening events. Arlanda Airport expands (October 2003)
On 15 December the extension of international terminal 5 will be inaugurated. The new section offers more checkin desks, a new facility for baggage sorting, a new shopping arcade and a new escalator leading to the Arlanda Express train.

New Hotel - Nordic Blue (October 2003)
The 1st of November Nordic Blue Hotel will open. The hotel is the third member of the Nordic Hotels family, joining Nordic Sea and Nordic Light and it will mainly focus on conferences and events. The former IBM training school, is beautifully and idyllically set on the shores of Lidingö island, just fifteen minutes from Stockholm city centre. Conference delegates will be able to stimulate body and soul - walking along the many paths, along the beach, looking out over the archipelago or just meditating in the rural peace of the surroundings.

ABBA Benny opens hotel (September 2003)
Benny Andersons, of ABBA fame, is one of three owners behind the new Rival Hotel –“It’s the hotel we ourselves would like to stay in” says Benny. Rival is apart from being a modern hotel, with teddy bears and a “pillow menu” in each room, also bar, restaurant, and cinema! http://www.rival.se
